Purim Ball

For their annual Purim Ball, we partnered with The Jewish Museum to transform the Park Avenue Armory into an artistic and festive celebration of the holiday for their 900 guests.

In a unique twist on the festive Purim spirit, we merged traditional celebratory iconography of both Purim and Chinese New Year to create a simple yet stunning environment that honored the Chinese heritage of that particular year’s honoree and symbolized the shared human spirit of celebration surrounding the two concurrent holidays.

Dramatically filling the vast Armory and anchoring the room, a floor-to-ceiling wall crafted from groggers, fans, paper lanterns, rainbow fish, and giant hamenstaschen cookies was suspended from the rafter. This created a vivid colorful collage that pulled double duty serving as the energetic environment for cocktail hour and the after-party on one side, and a vibrant stage backdrop for the evening’s programming on the other.
