For the 2016 American Friends of The Israel Museum gala, we were challenged to create an evening that both honored the rich art and historic heritage of Israel while also celebrating the Israel of today. We were ultimately inspired by a sense of reflection in looking to the past as a building block to modern day, and in turn built a shining and reflective environment using mirrors in various forms. As the focal point for the evening, grounding the room in metaphor and message, an expansive overhead installation of thousands of mirrored discs spelled “NOW”, creating a stunning and poetic reflection of the present.
