Bar Mitzvah

Sunningdale Country Club, Westchester

For a foodie family celebrating the Bar Mitzvah of their son, we went all in on the food loving fun, building a landscape of oversized favorite foods from giant pizza box photo ops to hamburger chandeliers to create a deliciously vibrant scene. Using traditional iconography, the evening’s dinner space was transformed into a colorful and energetic diner where classic foods were reimagined as “can-structure” sculptures, built using canned goods, cereal boxes, and tubs of snacks. And though whimsically fun and eye popping installations, the evening’s sculptural decor served a greater purpose as every food item used for construction was carefully preserved in the building process so they could ultimately be donated to a local food bank close to the family’s heart, making the sculptures a feast for the eyes and for the community.
